Your multifaceted tasks
- Evaluation of the Dried Blood Spot (DBS) technology and its suitability for the nonclinical development disciplines, especially for Drug Metabolism & Pharmacokinetics and Nonclinical Drug Safety
- Assumption of a primary role in investigations of the analytical aspects of the DBS technology such as
- Method development and validation
- Evaluation of filter cards and technical systems
- Feasibility assessment of the DBS technology for a bioanalytical laboratory subjected to GLP/GCP as well as for the scientific and practical implications regarding pharmacokinetic evaluations, metabolite identification, biomarker analysis and pharmacogenomic analysis
- Taking over a leading role in an interdisciplinary, international team working together with colleagues from Drug Metabolism & Pharmacokinetics and Nonclinical Drug Safety across sites in the US and Germany
Your ideal qualification
You should have a Ph.D. in a discipline such as chemistry, pharmaceutics or related fields with expert knowledge in instrumental analysis especially liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry. In addition you possess experience in the analysis of biological matrices including sample extraction.
You are used to work in a team with high ambitions and you already gained first experience in leading people.
Due to the international nature of the tasks strong communication skills, fluency in written and spoken English and willingness to reside in both Biberach (Germany) and Ridgefield, Connecticut (US) for extended periods, up to 6 months, during the tenure of the position are necessary.
Biberach is situated in an attractive area of southern Germany between Stuttgart and the Lake of Constance.
