Channel & Customer Experience Management

The University of St. Gallen and its School of Management are seeking an Assistant
Professor (tenure track) in the area of Omni-Channel Management and Customer
Experience Management. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Retail Marketing, or a directly
related field such as Psychology, Marketing, or Information Systems. Candidates are
expected to have experience in quantitative research methods such as experimental
research (lab, field, and online experiments) and/or new interdisciplinary techniques in
retail research. The professor will be part of the Institute of Retail Management (IRM),
which represents the University’s research activities in the areas of retailing, marketing
and channel management. Global impact through high quality research, teaching and
knowledge dissemination is an important objective.
The triple accredited (AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS) University of St. Gallen offers a
stimulating research environment and a large network of partner companies. The
assistant professorship follows a research focus in terms of top end international research
output in the fields of retailing and/or marketing and supports the Institute of Retailing.
This professorship contributes to retailing related topics in times of disruptive changes
within distribution channels. We are looking for a colleague who complements and
enriches our existing areas of expertise and methodological competences. Teaching load
(in German and English, 4 SWS) is within the school’s and within international standards
and can be conducted at all levels.
