The Danish Institute for Advanced Study (DIAS) seeks an outstanding candidate to fill a position at the Assistant Professor level in the field of socio-cultural market studies and ConsumerCulture Theory.
The position is sponsored by the Department of Marketing & Management and starts January 1st 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter. The department is located at University of Southern Denmark (SDU) in Odense.
The appointment is a unique position for the highly ambitious "rising star" who is looking for a long-term position in a very strong inter-disciplinary environment, permitting the candidate to pursue ideas with ground-breaking potential. The position runs for four years followed by the possibility of a subsequent two years of employment as an Associate Professor -this extension will be based on an evaluation procedure. Note that teaching obligations will be reduced in this position compared to a regular Assistant Professor position at SDU.
