WU is currently inviting applications for the position of a full professor1 of Distributed Ledgers and Token Economics at the Department of Information Systems and Operations. Candidates are expected to have established an international reputation as a researcher in Business Information Systems with a focus, among others, in one or more of the following areas: Decentralized and Distributed Ledger Technology and Blockchain based Market Design, Token Design and Token Economy, Cryptoeconomics, and Distributed Trust and Game Theory, as well as Business Applications of Blockchain Technology, Decentralized and Distributed Ledgers. Depending on the candidate's academic credentials, the employment contract can be concluded either as a permanent employment contract or as a fixed-term employment contract with the option of a permanent extension.2
