Science, Institute of Informatics and
Computational Science, invites applications
for the following position to be filled as
soon as possible:
Full Professorship (W 3) for
Software Engineering
We are seeking outstanding, internationally renowned
candidates with an excellent track record in an area of
software engineering, both in terms of publications
and the acquisition of third-party funding. Applicants
should have a research profile that will contribute to the
department‘s research-oriented education program and
strengthen the University‘s research foci Data-Centric
Sciences and Cognitive Sciences. In addition to active
collaboration with the Institute‘s various research groups,
the future holder of the position is expected to engage
in interdisciplinary cooperation projects and contribute to
the University‘s research priorities and initiatives.
The successful candidate will have teaching obligations
in German and English in the bachelor’s and master’s
programs in Informatik/Computational Science, Data
Science, Cognitive Systems, and in the computer science
courses for teaching degree students and students of the
natural sciences. Non-German-speaking appointees are
expected to acquire proficiency in German sufficient to
be able to interact with all colleagues, students, and staff
within two years.
Contributions to administrative tasks of the faculty are
also expected.
The hiring process is subject to the requirements set forth in Section 41
subsection 1 no. 1 - 3, 4a and 4c of the Brandenburg Higher Education Act (BbgHG).
The appointment procedure is conducted in accordance with Section 40 BbgHG.
