We offer an interdisciplinary research team with international collaborations, integrated in an exciting scientific environment. Within the International Graduate schools “CEMMA” and “Molecular Medicine” at Um University (IGradU), we analyze individual neurons displaying differential vulnerability to disease. We focus on the dopaminergic system and on Aging, Parkinson’s and Schizophrenia.
Our methods deployed include state-of-the-art neuroscience techniques like high-end imaging & electrophysiology approaches, CRISPR/Cas9, and singlecell transcriptomics (further information:

As start-date, winter-term 2021 is envisioned, but a prior or later start is possible. The succesful applicant will have the opportunity to carry out a PhD with us, once the Master project has been completed.
Applicants will hold an outstanding BSc degree or equivalent in biochemistry, molecular biology, neuroscience, life science or a related subject, and are fluent in English. Experience in molecular biology, bioinformatics, imaging, and/or circuit neuroscience are desired and of advantage. Applicants are expected to be self-motivated team workers and enthusiastic about science, with strong communication skills and diligent work ethics.
