PhD positions in Medical Imaging
Institute of Radiology
8 PhD positions (TVöD E13, 65%) are available at Charité, starting April 1st, 2020. These will be part of the Research Training Group (Graduiertenkolleg) on ‘Biophysical and Quantitative Imaging towards Clinical Diagnosis‘ (BIOQIC). BIOQIC‘s management office is located at the Berlin university hospital (Charité). It comprises a collaborative venture of Charité, Berlin universities (Technical University and Free University), and research institutions (Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt Berlin, Leibniz-Forschungsinstitut für Molekulare Pharmakologie Berlin-Buch). There will be 15 PhD projects in total; 7 additional PhD positions will be located at the Berlin Universities TU and FU and the above mentioned Berlin research institutions.
Your area of responsibility:
BIOQIC is centered on clinical imaging technologies such as MRI, ultrasound, PET / SPECT and CT, with a focus on objective and quantitative measurements. BIOQIC offers collaborative supervision from basic scientists and clinicians, embedded in one of the most dense and innovative academic regions in Europe, including the top-rated teaching hospital Charité with one of Europe‘s largest radiological departments. We are looking for highly motivated, inquisitive, enthusiastic and result-oriented PhD candidates with an excellent academic record and prior research experience. Candidates should ideally hold Master‘s degrees in Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Medicine or related disciplines, relevant for the development of innovative medical imaging technologies.
