(Post-)doctoral scientist (m/f)
in Experimental Aesthetics
Participation in research in experimental aesthetics (analysis of statistical properties of artworks, music and/or literature; see Brachmann und Redies, 2017, Frontiers in Computational Neuroscience 11:102)
Development of novel approaches for the calculation of statistical properties in aesthetic stimuli (e.g., in deep neural networks)
Analysis of statistical properties in large datasets of images, music and /or literature
Generation of stimuli for psychological experiments
Publication of results in international journals.
It will be possible to pursue a doctoral degree.
M.Sc. in informatics or media science (e.g., computer vision, digital humanities etc.)
Experience in the analysis of complex patterns and knowledge of deep neural networks would be advantageous.
Good English proficiency
Very good knowledge of programming, especially with Python and MatLab.
Willingness to participate in experimental/computational aesthetics research in an international interdisciplinary team (informatics, psychology and neuroscience)
