Karlshochschule International University in Karlsruhe is an innovative foundation university

For the newly established Center for Civic Engagement and Responsible Management
Education "Karls" won a significant government grant by the state of Baden-Württemberg.
Hence effective from September 2018 or later we are looking for a:
Professorship in International Management, with specific
focus on Gender, Diversity and Inclusion
At Karlshochschule you will be part of an innovative and committed team shaping the
university in its mission to provide responsible management education to future decisionmakers.
You will engage in applied critical teaching and research in the areas of your
expertise, work with our international faculty and student body, and develop global academic
partnerships. Your interpretative and qualitative approach is reflected in your publications. You
naturally incorporate your own research into your teaching.
Our didactic approach is used to pursue interactive and constructivist teaching with case
studies, role play, simulation, and project work. In this sense, innovative didactics and team
teaching with colleagues and individual mentoring of students is your passion, and not a must.
We are looking for a candidate with the following profile:
- Deep understanding of social constructionist theories and ability apply them in
organisational context
- Expertise in delivering gender and diversity topics to multicultural student groups
- Insight into professional empowerment, personality development and organisational
psychology
- Proven track record in leadership and management, an international career path and
business experience
Can you see yourself in that role?
Are you able and willing, as a fluent or native speaker, to lecture in English and German? Do
you hold a PhD in Management/Economics with one of the above mentioned specifications
and can you build on a minimum of 3 years work experience outside higher education? Are
you willing to collaborate in academic self-administration and, if required, to also assume
responsibility?
