Am Institut für Volkswirtschaftslehre der
Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaftlichen Fakultät
der Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel
ist zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt

eine W2 Professur auf Zeit (6 Jahre) mit Tenure Track für Volkswirtschaftslehre insbesondere internationaler Handel oder/und internationale Makroökonomik oder/und internationale Steuerpolitik oder/und internationale Gesundheitspolitik oder/und Regionalökonomik

zu besetzen.

Die/der zukünftige Stelleninhaber*in soll das Fachgebiet Internationale Volkswirtschaftslehre in Forschung und Lehre vertreten.

Mit der Professur ist eine Zuweisung an das Institut für Weltwirtschaft verbunden. Während der Dauer der Zuweisung an das Institut für Weltwirtschaft ist die Professur mit einer verringerten Lehrverpflichtung verbunden, die an der Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel zu erbringen ist.

Die Berufung erfolgt in einem gemeinsamen Berufungsverfahren der Christian-Albrechts-Universität und des Instituts für Weltwirtschaft.

Gesucht wird ein*e Wirtschaftswissenschaftler*in, die/ der in der angewandten Forschung zu weltwirtschaftlichen Fragen in international referierten Zeitschriften ausgewiesen ist und Erfahrung in der Akquise von Drittmitteln besitzt. Die Professur soll die bereits in Kiel vertretene Expertise ergänzen.

Es wird erwartet, dass sich die/der erfolgreiche Bewerber*in in die Politikberatungsaktivitäten und Medienarbeit des Instituts für Weltwirtschaft einbringt, ihr/sein Fach in der Lehre vertritt, Forschungsgruppen einrichtet und leitet, sich an internationalen Forschungsnetzwerken beteiligt und am Promotionsprogramm „Quantitative Economics“ der Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaftlichen Fakultät mitwirkt.

Auf die Einstellungsvoraussetzungen des § 61 des Hochschulgesetzes des Landes Schleswig-Holstein wird hingewiesen.

Nach erfolgreicher Evaluation und bei Vorliegen der weiteren Voraussetzungen des § 62 Hochschulgesetzes des Landes Schleswig-Holstein ist es das Ziel, die Professur zu entfristen. Hierzu wird an der Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel nach geltender Satzung, in der Regel ein Jahr vor Auslaufen der Zeitprofessur, ein entsprechendes Evaluierungsverfahren durchgeführt. Kiel University aims to attract more qualified women to professorships.

The Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences of Kiel University invites applications for a

limited term W 2-Professorship (6 years) tenure track in Economics, in particular international trade and/or international macro-economics and/or international taxation and/or international health economics and/or regional economics

to start at the earliest possible time or date.

The future job holder shall be responsible for the subject area International Economics in research and teaching.

The position is associated with an appointment to the Kiel Institute for the World Economy and entail a reduced teaching load which will be completed at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität.

The appointment is made jointly by the University and the Kiel Institute for the World Economy.

Candidates are expected to be economists that have published applied research on important global economic questions in renowned, refereed international journals and has experience in acquiring third party funding. The research focus should complete the existing expertise in Kiel.

We expect the candidate to engage in policy and outreach activities at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy and to contribute to teaching and the Ph.D. program „Quantitative Economics“ at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences.

After successful evaluation and if the additional requirements of § 62 of the Higher Education Act of the State of Schleswig-Holstein are met, the aim is to grant tenure in the professorship. To this end at Kiel University, in accordance with the current statutes, an evaluation procedure is carried out, usually one year before the limited professorship ends.
