4 Project Managers (Ph.D.) (m/f) for metabolic and genome engineering projects
Your tasks and responsibilities
We are looking for outstanding candidates to manage projects related to strain construction and strain improvement using rational metabolic and genome engineering approaches. Successful candidates will coordinate interdisciplinary teams of scientists (Ph.D. and M.A. level) from disciplines as diverse as bioinformatics, fermentation, analytical chemistry, molecular cloning, down-stream processing and genome engineering to achieve results, which translate into industrial relevant fermentation strains and processes. Candidates are expected to interact with internal experts such as patent law, world-wide regulatory affairs, marketing & sales as well as external experts from the scientific community or other companies.
Desired Candidate profiles
Excellent doctorate degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or Biotechnology
3 to 5 years of highly productive postdoctoral work
Strong background in metabolic engineering and/or genome engineering
Background in analytical methods such as HPLC, LC-MS/MS and GC/MS
Experience in the latest molecular biology tools
Experience in metabolic flux control analysis is an advantage
International research experience
Good leadership skills
Proficiency in English (verbal and written communication)
Non-German applicants should be prepared to learn German
