Research assistant (postdoc) (m/f/d) in congenital adrenal hyperplasia
Scope of the project:
Applications are invited for a postdoc position at the Endocrine Research Labs of the Medical Department IV/University of Munich on the transregional CRC/TRR 205 "The Adrenal: Central
Relay in Health and Disease" funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). In a unique effort top level researchers and doctors of the University Hospitals of Munich, Dresden
and Würzburg will promote the understanding of humoral and molecular mechanisms of adrenal diseases and develop improved diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
The postdoc will be joining a highly motivated and expanding team of researchers studying the protein stability in congenital adrenal hyperplasia, one of the most common inborn metabolic disorders.
M.Sc. degree or equivalent and PhD in biochemistry, chemistry or a biological discipline with essential knowledge of good clinical research
Molecular biology including qPCR and site-directed mutagenesis, general protein biochemistry and structure-function studies
Demonstrated ability to synthesize results in graphic, oral and written reports including the ability, to clearly explain statistical techniques and interprete findings
Good communication skills and fluent English skills
Open-minded and self-motivated character
Innovative and multifaceted research in a stimulating national and international research environment
Flexible working hours
The remuneration for this position conforms to the stipulations set out in the Tarifvertrag der Länder (TV-L, 50%)
