The IWM invites applications for the position of a
Researcher / PhD Position (m/f/d)
Part-time 75%, fixed term for three years, starting immediately
to work on a research project on self-regulation support during independent learning with videos. The project will be carried out within the framework of an interdisciplinary research network in the field of psychology and artificial intelligence (AI). The preparation of a doctoral thesis in the aforementioned research area is desired and explicitly supported.
Your tasks:
Design, conduct, analyze, and document empirical studies investigating video learning support measures based on automated analyses of learner attention using AI algorithms
Presenting research findings at national and international conferences
Publication and documentation of research results in relevant journals
Collaboration in the context of general institute tasks
Your profile:
Interest in instructional psychology support measures for learning with videos
Initial experience in designing, conducting, and analyzing empirical studies
Above-average degree, e.g. in psychology (with a focus on cognitive, educational, or media psychology), cognitive science, or related disciplines (master's degree or equivalent)
Very good command of English
