Job Description:
This position is part of the MaRDI project on research data infrastructures for mathematics. MaRDI is part of the German Research Data Infrastructure initiative (NFDI programme). Particular tasks within the project will be the implementation based on a customized version of the Wikimedia technology stack, integrating the classical Media Wiki frontend and content management system and the Wikibase knowledge graph as data backend, including e. g.,
- Implementation of persistent identifiers (PIDs)
- Authorization and authentication (OAuth2, shibboleth)
- Implementation of the mathematical knowledge graph and multiple math-specific extensions
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master of Science or equivalent qualification
- Experience in professional software development
- Contributions to Open Source Software
- Experience with PHP
- Experience with Media Wiki framework
- Experience with Linked Open Data, i.e., SPAQL, graph databases (optional)
- Awareness of code quality, good knowledge of coding best practices
- Very good ability to work in a team

Remuneration is based on the Collective Agreement for the Public Sector (TVöD). The employment contract is initially limited to two years, but our aim is a long-term cooperation.
