Three-Month Fulltime Internship
The CONMEM Project (Cognitive and Neural Dynamics of Memory Across the Lifespan) at the Center for Lifespan Psychology, Max Planck Institute for Human Development, Berlin, seeks motivated and reliable student applicants for a
Three-Month Fulltime Internship Starting February or March 2019
The project ?s aim is to understand the mechanisms that lead to differences in attention, episodic and working memory across the lifespan. For this purpose we combine experimental and training studies with imaging techniques such as EEG and structural and functional MRI. Occasionally we also collect eye-tracking and peripheral physiological data.
We are looking for two reliable and responsible students of psychology, neuroscience, or related subjects who enjoy dealing with people of different age groups. Requirements are advanced English language skills and an interest in neurocognitive developmental psychology. We are looking for one student to work on data analysis (fluent English required) and one student to work on data collection (fluent German required). Methodological experience (Matlab, R, SPSS) are beneficial.
Internships in our project enable students to gain experience in preparation and realization of EEG and (f)MRI studies and analysis of data in developmental psychology. Interns work on defined tasks that are part of our on-going research projects and will be supervised by scientific staff.
The reimbursement will be 380 EUR per month.
