Postdoc position (f/m) for Metabolomics in cohorts, in vitro and model systems

We are seeking an enthusiastic Postdoc for performing mass spectrometric analyses of exogenous and endogenous metabolites in cohort studies and various model systems in the Department of Molecular Systems Biology, starting at 1st of July 2018. In the Department a wide range of targeted and global metabolomic analyses are well established and the successful candidate will make use of the state of the art equipment for metabolome analyses and will amend the experimental approaches by bioinformatics for pathway detection and flux analysis.
Postdoc position (m/f) for Metabolomics in cohorts, in vitro and model systems
working time: 100 % (39 h/week), limited to 3 years
Analyzing exogenous and endogenous metabolites in cohorts, in vitro and in model systems like microbial communities
Application of bioinformatics and statistical tools for data assessment and flux analysis in cellular systems and microbial communities
Execution of pathway analysis for biological data interpretation
Mass spectrometric method development
Supervising of master and PhD theses
Drafting third-party funding proposals
PhD in Chemistry/Biochemistry or related natural sciences
Elevated knowledge in mass spectrometry of metabolites is mandatory
Expert knowledge in statistics and bioinformatics is required
Excellent technical facilities which are without parallel
