The Department of Biology in the Faculty of Sciences seeks to fill a
W3-Full Professorship
of Developmental Biology
at the earliest possible date.
Applicants should conduct and be internationally recognized for research in the
field of developmental biology in animal or plant systems. The ideal candidate is
a leading expert for e.g., organ or circuit development, regeneration processes,
or cellular differentiation. Experience with multidisciplinary approaches will be
an advantage, as a close interaction with and participation in local research
consortia, e.g. CRC 969 "Chemical and Biological Principles of Proteostasis"
and the "Konstanz Research School Chemical Biology, KoRS-CB", or the
Cluster of Excellence "Centre for the Advanced Study of Collective Behaviour"
is expected. Furthermore, the successful applicant is strongly committed to
teaching of Developmental Biology at the undergraduate Bachelor and graduate
Master levels within our "Biological Sciences" and "Life Science" programs. For
