Job Offer Reference No. 2020/247. The Professorship at the Department of Politics and Public
Administration is supposed to start on the 1st of October 2021.
The University of Konstanz is one of eleven Universities of Excellence in Germany. Since 2007 it has been successful in the German Excellence
Initiative and its follow-up programme, the Excellence Strategy.
The successful candidate will contribute to the Cluster of Excellence “The Politics of Inequality” ( https://www.uni-konstanz.de/en/the-politics-ofinequality/)
and has a focus in research and teaching in International Politics broadly defined. We are looking for candidates that apply rigorous
empirical methods to study inequality in areas such as politics, education, economics, communication, environmental resources or health, ideally with
a comparative focus on countries beyond the OECD. A doctoral degree in Political Science or a related discipline is required. Applicants should have
an established track record of publishing in top-ranked scientific outlets, and should have successfully secured third-party funding.
